Football has been part of my life since I was young. I grew up playing the sport, and some of my earliest memories of football came from actually being on the field. The picture above is from when I was younger and playing football myself. I may not be the one wearing pads anymore, but my interest in the sport never really went away. Football has stayed one of the things I look forward to every year.
My favorite professional team is the Houston Texans because Houston has always been home to me. Being a Texans fan has definitely required patience over the years. There have been Sundays when I was excited all week just to spend three hours wondering why I turned the game on. No matter how frustrating some seasons have been, I still come back and watch the next game. I think sticking around during the bad seasons makes the good moments feel even better.
When it comes to college football, the team which I have been backing up all the time is the Oklahoma Sooners. This is a team which I have been supporting for quite some time now, and the fact that I was able to watch them in action made me even more supportive. Watching college football is totally a different experience in terms of the atmosphere created by the stadium and crowd, among other things. It is the type of experience which makes you remember all the reasons why you loved football in the first place.
